We are still having technical issues with our telephone system. We are working to rectify this matter as soon as possible but in the mean-time, if you are unable to get through, please keep trying to reach us. We are in office Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. -4 p.m.

This is the last week for our “Art in Nature” fund raiser. Booklets are available at our Agency for you to order flowers, bulbs and seeds, fruits, vegetables, hanging plants, and a variety of flower mats and more to choose from. Prices are really reasonable. Proceeds will provide remaining funds needed to recertify and provide additional training for our Tai-Chi instructor, Teresa Carr, who teaches to seniors for free. All orders have to be in no later than Feb. 29 with payment so flowers can be received in plenty of time for planting. If you have any questions, please call Teresa at 544-3979.

We have a free “Guess the Candy” game going on until Feb. 29. Come in, give a guess and you could win an adorable decorated basket made and donated by Bobbi Kitchen. While you’re here, why not purchase tickets for our raffle of a set of geese pillows, donated by Judy Shipley that are perfect for decorating your home during spring and summer. Tickets are 2/$1.

We are asking for volunteers to help organize the “All-County Senior Citizens Day” in May. Various duties and skills are needed to make this day a success. On March 2 at 2 p.m. we will have a question/answer session for anyone interested in participating in making the day a memorable event.

Do you have a unique talent or skill and would like to be entertainment for the All County Senior Day event on May 17? We have a lot of singers and musical talent lined up but we would like to invite those individuals who may like to show our seniors something that may spark an interest or possibly something that they could do as a hobby. Anyone interested in participating, please contact us at 544-3979.

AARP Representatives will not be coming to the Adams County this year. This decision was made by AARP due to a shortage of volunteers. You may contact the Senior Center in Hillsboro at 937-393-4745 or the Georgetown Senior Center at 937-378-6603 to schedule an appointment to get your taxes done. Due to the AARP Tax Representatives not coming to our Senior Center, Gentle Chair Yoga Class will resume to normal schedule in March.

Every Thursday afternoon (about noon) Euchre players gather together at the Senior Center to play. They welcome anyone who enjoys playing or who would like to learn. Contact Margaret Dunkin at 937-544-2436 or Betty Tore at 937-544-6259 for more information.

We have State HEAP applications for the 2015-2016 winter season at the Senior Center. We have an aide to assist any senior 60+ will filling out their State HEAP application for State assistance only; however, this is on a very limited basis. Please call Teresa at the Senior Center at 544-3979 to schedule an appointment.
