WEST UNION - A new Save A Lot grocery store in the county opens today with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. The store is located on state Route 41 South next to the Adams County Department Store (now Town & Country).
"There are only two types of Save A Lot customers, those that need to save money and those that want to save money - this store will cater to both," said Larry Noe, president of a group of Save A Lot stores, with this being the 49th store to open in the group.
The grocery store will carry the usual Save A Lot fare of produce, fresh meats, canned goods and dairy products.
"I think local shoppers are really going to like what we have in stock throughout the store, like the produce and meat departments," said Scott Wright, West Union Save A Lot store manager. "I'm excited for everyone to come out and see the new store and for the chance to meet everyone who comes in to shop.
"West Union is a tight knit community, and I believe that this store will fit well in the community," he added.
