Meet Sally, a sweet, gentle Beagle mix. She is being housed at the Humane Society of Adams County’s animal shelter in West Union where she is awaiting her new forever home. Unfortunately for Sally, her left eye has a condition called “Cherry Eye”, which is not life-threatening, but, if left untreated, can cause Sally to have eye problems later on.

This condition also reduces Sally’s chances of being adopted because she looks different. You already have too many pets, and your work-life schedule makes it difficult to volunteer at the local animal shelter, but there are other ways to make a difference in the life of a homeless pet. Cherry Eye can be corrected by surgery, but the cost of surgery is between $75 and $95 per eye.

If you are interested in helping Sally, or other shelter pets like her, please send a donation to HSAC, P.O. Box 245, West Union, OH 45693. Be sure to write “For Sally” in the Memo line. Sally will certainly thank you.

For more information about Sally and other available pets at the HSAC Animal Shelter, please call (937) 544-8585.
