During the Carnival we will have costume judging (different classes), a raffle, inflatables, and a cake/culinary auction. We need lots of donations of desserts (or homemade bread) for the auction. We will also have a chili supper beginning at 5:30 p.m, sponsored by the North Adams Knothole program. Weather permitting we will will have a haunted ghost walk ($1 donation) beginning at 8 pm. The Scattered Homemakers met at the Y Restaurant on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Eleven members and two guests enjoyed their meal in the dining room then went to a back room for their meeting. Ruth Huffman and Emily Bunn were hostesses. Jo Ann Knechtly had devotions. Ruth gave a talk about pumpkins, their history and various uses. Emily also used pumpkins as her subject. She had drawn pictures of pumpkins and passed them out and asked everyone to draw faces on them and to give a name to their pumpkin. They took pictures of the pumpkins. The next meeting will be Wednesday, Nov. 18.
