Robert Allyn Culver completed his life journey of 83 years on June 15, 2015, after a short illness.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary (nee Soat); son, William (Heidi) of North Carolina; daughter, Kathyrn of Columbus; granddaughter, Melissa of New York and his special feline companion ZoomZoom. Preceded in death by his parents William and Katie (Nugent); brother, David; sister, Marilyn; and his son, R. Allyn. Mr. Culver was a Korean War Veteran, member of VFW Post 8794, American Legion, and Disabled American Veterans. He served on the Adams County OH Honor Guard for several years. He also served as a councilman on the West Union, OH Town Council.

He resided for over 50 years in Terre Haute, IN, where he worked for Smiths Hardware, Walker Electric Co and part-time for Alex’s TV Service. He was a founding member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church. In 1999, he relocated to Ohio where he resided with his daughter until his death. The family would like to thank Echo Manor and Harbor Light Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Robert and his family.
