The Adams County Highway Department has a new addition to the vehicles in the county garage. The Chevron Corporation through Glockner Oil Company has donated a John Deere Gator RSX850i with a blue print job rather than the traditional John Deere green.
Every year the Chevron Corporation awards useful tools to clients by a random drawing. Glockner Oil Company is a first source marketer with Chevron with locations in Piketon, Cincinnati, and Columbus. The actual item that is awarded changes every year. In previous years, Chevron has donated hand tools and other equipment to clients.
Glockner Oil Company has provided fuel and lubricants for the equipment used by the highway department.
“We are happy to be here to provide this piece of equipment to Adams County,” said Richard “Rick” Puckett, President of Glockner Oil Company.
When asked what the Engineer’s Office plans to do with the new all-terrain vehicle, Engineer David Hook said, “It’s our pleasure to accept this random drawing prize from the Glockner Oil Company. This is a versatile piece of equipment that we are currently evaluating on how best to use.”
