The Adams County Regional Water District would like to announce that after 32 years, Mr. Richard “Jake” Vogler, has decided it is time to retire. Mr. Vogler started with the District on Jan. 12, 1987.
The Adams County Regional Water District would like to say “Thank You” for the 32 years that Jake has spent with them. The moment is bittersweet. While he should enjoy his retirement, his willingness and expertise as a valued employee will be missed.
His daughter Stacy said it best: “Countless hours on the end of a shovel, endless hours operating equipment, working in temperatures over 100 to polar temps like recently. Mud so thick on his clothes that Mom would have to spray them with a water hose before they could be laundered. Spending many nights out searching for water leaks, coming home, showering ,and going back in to work without any sleep. Why⁉ For me, for my brother, for my Mom. My Dad has worked his entire life with his family at the forefront of his mind to give us everything we ever wanted, but most importantly what we needed.”
Everyone at ACRWD wants to wish Jake a very happy and long retirement.
