The much-anticipated Seaman Fall Festival will celebrate its 111th year from Wednesday, September 18 through Saturday, September 21. This beloved annual event, rooted in community tradition, promises fun-filled activities for all ages.

The festival kicks off Wednesday at 6 p.m. with an opening ceremony featuring another stirring rendition of the National Anthem by Maria Sexton. The North Adams High School Choir will follow with a concert.

At 7 p.m., the Little Miss and Mister Contest, featuring 4-and 5-year-olds followed by the annual Queen Contest at 8 p.m. Don Bowles of C103 Radio will emcee the event.

For horse lovers, the Miniature Horse and Draft Horse Pulls will take place at 7 p.m. at the pull track, drawing participants from Ohio and Kentucky.

Thursday begins early with the Light Weight Tug Tractor Pull at 11 a.m., followed by the Middle Weight Pull.

The Seaman Fall Festival Committee expressed gratitude to Superintendent Dawn Wallace and Principals Karl Boerger and Kyle Brewer for their support.

New to Thursday’s schedule is a presentation by Ryen Shiveley of Family Traditions and a Kids Cornhole Tournament for first through eighth graders.

Dusty and Backwoods Drive will perform on the Main Stage from 5 – 7:45 p.m.

The Hall display in the Seaman Community Building, featuring baked goods, flowers, vegetables, crafts, and quilts, will be open to the public. Baked goods winning first, second, or third place in each category will be auctioned off at 8 p.m.

Friday’s lineup includes the always popular tractor pulls at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The Life Church Praise Team will perform on the main stage at 5 p.m., followed by local artist Dakota Nehus at 6:30 p.m.

Kids can flex their muscles at the Pedal Tractor Pull at 7:30 p.m. in front of the Seaman Post Office, while Lyn Bohman will host the Youth and Adult Karaoke Contest later in the evening.

Saturday is packed with events, starting with a Baby Contest at 10 a.m. and a Tractor Pull at 11 a.m. The talented Mark Tolle will perform at noon, followed by the Grand Parade at 1:30 p.m.

Tractor enthusiasts can enjoy the National Micro Mini Tractor Pull hosted by Steve and Hunter Harris at 2:30 p.m., while North Adams students can race in the Wood Wheel Derby at 3 p.m.

Young basketball players can join the 3-on-3 contest, with registration at 5 p.m.

The day will conclude with the Northern Wrestling Federation performing at 6 p.m. and Hot Rod and the Fast Lane rocking the Main Stage at 8:30 p.m.

Throughout the festival, attendees can enjoy rides, food, and vendor offerings. The Seaman Fall Festival Committee works year-round to create a memorable experience for families, friends, and visitors from near and far.

The festival is a cherished tradition that brings together the Seaman community and welcomes back those who’ve moved away. The committee extends heartfelt thanks to the community for their unwavering support.
